In Probate Plus setup under 'File...Options...Configure System...Text linking options' check to see if 'Auto-update links when item changed' is ticked.
If it *IS* ticked, PP will try to contact Word and talk to it pretty much all the time. If Word is open (even if no document open), then no error, however if Word isn’t open, you get the message that PP has tried to connect but couldn’t.
If is *IS NOT* ticked, PP won’t try to connect to Word unless you go to the normal 'Documents...Update fields in the active Word document'.
So, either leave Word open so there’s something for PP to talk to (even if it’s minimised). Or switch off the option in PP settings.
